The world is becoming smaller day by day with the blessing of science. Now a man from one part of the world can communicate with a person of another part of the world within a second. The internet is the latest medium of communication. This is a speedy transmitting system of information with the help of computer and computer networks. The internet is now regarded as a milestone of the modern world of communication. It is, in fact, a network of communication. In Bangladesh, the internet has opened a new dimension in our communication system. Both BTCL and our government have taken active initiatives for its better implementation in our country. The use of the Internet in our country is still limited and costly. Modern age is the age of information. Information is stored and we find them through the Internet. Now the world of commerce has been changed by it. The Internet based e-commerce has become most popular to many customers as they can buy or choose anything without going to a market. Educational institutions are also using its advantages. Many students are communicating with their teachers, libraries and among themselves with the help of the Internet in the shortest possible time. Those days are not so far when any student will have access to the Internet and take its maximum benefits. We hope that we will get full-fledged access to the Internet, an international computer network, to make our Bangladesh a developed and prosperous country.
