E-mail or Electronic mail is a method of exchanging messages ("mail") between people using electronic devices. E-mail is invented by Ray Tomlinson. It is an Internet service that allows people who have an e-mail address or accounts to send and receive electronic letters. To send or receive an email in the traditional way, one needs a device (computer, phone etc.) connected to the Internet and an e-mail server. E-mail servers accept, forward, deliver, and store messages. Neither the users nor their computers are required to be online simultaneously; they need to connect only briefly, typically to a mail server or a webmail interface, for as long as it takes to send or receive messages. Email has lot of advantages. It has made the communication system easier. User can access from anywhere in the world through Internet . E-main transmission is very speedy. It is four times faster than FAX and ten times faster than telex. Very less money is required in comparison to other transmission. Email has some difficulty. The recipient needs access to the Internet to receive email. Viruses are easily spread via email.
